Gunners offer of around £8million could convince the Italian champions to sell Vucinic

Arsenal have been told that they will have to buy Mirko Vucinic if they are to convince Juventus to part with the Montenegrin striker.

The Gunners met with Juve general manager Beppe Marrota in London over the New Year as the Italian champions consider letting the striker go.

But Juventus have told both Arsenal and their North London rivals Spurs that they will NOT loan out the 30-year-old.

A bid in the region of £8million would be needed to convince Juve to sell Vucinic - something they are more open to since their failure to qualify for the Champions League's knockout rounds.

While in London, Marotta also met with West Ham over the possible transfer of striker Fabio Quagliarella, with the Hammers looking at the former Italy international to solve their striker crisis.

Quagliarella will be 31 in January, but Juve are still looking for a considerable £4million for the former Napoli star.
