Liverpool chase Udinese's Badu

Liverpool are thought to be showing an interest in Udinese midfielder Emmanuel Agyemeng Badu.

According to English newspaper Metro, manager Brendan Rodgers has put the Ghana international top of his wish-list for the January transfer window.

The 23-year-old is reportedly the subject of a £7m offer from the Anfield club.

However, he is also wanted by Arsenal and Tottenham, who had previously sent scouts to watch him.

Badu has been in Italy since January 2010, when he joined Udinese from Ghanaian club Berekum Arsenals for just £440,000.

He can play as a midfielder or in defence, where was occasionally used in emergency situations by the Friulani.
