Former Anzhi Makhachkala striker, Samuel Eto’o has been confirmed to move to Chelsea.
Samuel Eto’o, who is 32 years old joins Chelsea on a one year deal. The Chelsea boss, Jose Mourinho, has worked with Samuel Eto’o whilst they were both at Inter Milan in 2010.
"It wasn't a hard decision. I saw the qualities Chelsea have, and I was very happy with
Jose Mourinho before, so when the opportunity came, I was very happy to take it," stated Eto’o in an interview with BBC sport.
"I am very happy to be here but also anxious because I want to get playing as soon as possible."
This move comes straight after the Monday match, where Chelsea failed to play a striker to face United, where they came away with a draw.
Eto, who has been scored 36 goals in 71 appearances for Anzhi Makhachkala moved to the club in 2011, after winning the Uefa Champions League with Inter Milan a year before.
After moving to Anzhi, he was the highest paid player for a whilst, making wages of £17,000,000 (£325,000 a week). At Chelsea he has reportedly taken a paycut of £7,000,000.
